“@GoneWallace I thought I heard you “twice” the first time. DAMN Why can’t you be like @2Chainz??? LOL #10Fold”
He don’t rap like 2Chainz. Here’s 3Tracks to prove it…
Philly artist Gone Wallace releases his latest 3 track EP entitled “Monks” which is the appetizer to.his upcoming project “Passion Project”.
Gone Wallace’s take on “Monks”…
“Monk’s the diner from Seinfeld. It was like a spot where they went to discuss their problems and forget about shit. And I was going through some things while working on ‘Passion Project’ which resulted in me being affected negatively by the two. ‘Monk’s (EP)’ is symbolic of my escape from those problems..”
My take…
Using “Seinfield” as the theme for the project the EP starts off with the jazzy stylings of “10Fold” which demands the listener’s undivided attention – you have to learn to hear him twice the first time. Next its off to “Tom’s Restaurant” where Gone Wallace sits at a table, gets philosophical, all while asking the waitress the unthinkable – “Can we smoke in here?” The last stop on this short trip is “Smoker’s Cough”… And all I can say is that Gone Wallace has a unique gift of inviting you into any “culture” and making you feel right at home. Enjoy the ride!
