Buxaburn | @Buxaburn – “Skeleton Walk” – feat. Bo’kem Allah

I think I left off right about HERE (the last time I was going to post a hip hop video a week or so ago)…

Buxaburn (pictured above) and his partner in rhyme Bo’Kem Allah introduced me to “Skeleton Walk” on Twitter. I did not get a chance to post the video but I did not forget how this video made me feel – it was like seeing a fresh ass throwback. I do remember texting and sharing this video with Eye Cue from the Bay Area’s Hobo Junction and at the same asking him “Are you still rapping?” (remember in the nineties he was dirt hustlin’) A legend like Kool DJ Red Alert IS hip hop history and Buxaburn is that “G to death” who eloquently sums up our hip hop culture by taking it back to the basics. Shit this hip hop longevity makes me all smiles. So with that said listen to the message in Buxaburn’s “Skeleton Walk” – he can make “the radio a burial site”. See this is why I ditched mainstream radio a long time ago. Respect and enjoy!

“Skeleton Walk” is from Buxaburn’s current project “The Distance” which is now available on bandcamp.

The Rebirth Of Slick Mutha*uckas.. : “3Dee” (3rd Dimensixnal) by MXSFLXWETICZ | @mfzzlr

I think I just watched (well, really watched and absorbed four times) Digable Planets meets Ice Cube which is not a bad thing. Now, my inability to pronounce this duo’s (Amani and Malkia Shujazz) name – MXSFLXWETICZ makes me feel bad. MXSFLXWETICZ y’all gotta give me at least one leg to stand on here but, it’s all love. It took a minute to warm up to their track “3Dee (3rd Dimensixnal)” – as my conditioned music listening ears will freeze up on me sometimes. However, I am really feeling the slick neo soul meets the streets vibe on “3Dee”. With production by the late J Dilla, MXSFLXWETICZ gives listeners a really, cool…laid back…nostalgic experience. Enjoy!

Download their project “U.G.S.I. (UNDERGRXUND SXULS CHAPTER 1) now on bandcamp.

About the project…

This is the first chapter and introduction into the artistry of MXSFLXWETICZ, a duo Hip Hop and Neo Soul group consisting of Amani and Malkia Shujaaz. Together they use their intellect along with a variety of unique sounds and rhymes, to create an audio art gallery with no songs worth skipping. With ‘Undergrxund Sxuls Chapter II’ released June 27th 2014, you would never want to miss the first chapter of any good book.

“Knowledge Is Power” by V.A. tha Gray | @VAthaGray

“At a time when everyone wants to be heard… What are you really saying?” – V.A. Tha Gray

Some emcees can be so profound. And I LIKE it!

Now for the PR takeover… (shout out to Hope Dealers and Nile Music Group.)

“Taking viewers on a journey through his adolescence, V.A. Tha Gray teams up with visual artist Stack Moses for the video premiere of his lead single, “Knowledge Is Power”.

From the corner store where he bought his first cigarillo, to North Dallas staple street “Forest Lane”, V.A. Tha Gray and Stack Moses paint the perfect picture to bring his memoies back to life.”
