Know-Madik: Fresh Goods artist with colossal hair. Above average emcee and lyricist, “Grade A” if you will.

Know-Madik’s PR Team describes his “Peace” track as “an anthem for a generation tired of constantly seeing mass killings on the news, all the while blending woke lyricism with a jazz-influenced backing track”.  I listened to this track a couple of weeks back, and it sounds even better the second time around. Truth be told, I was actually caught up listening to several of Know-Madik’s tracks on SoundCloud THE FIRST TIME AROUND and his “Grade A” track solidified why I couldn’t ignore his skills when I first heard “Peace”.  Know-Madik delivers a sick, filthy flow on “Peace” that could actually be enjoyed without the backing of a track. “Peace” reminds me of Guru’s Jazzmatazz series and Digable Planets with well developed lyricism on a high speed train a la Talib Kweli (one of Know-Madik’s influences) – Execution done right. Y’all enjoy!

“Peace” will be featured on Know-Madik’s upcoming self-titled project. Stay woke and follow him on Facebook.
