👑 “Everyday Struggle” by Scott King | @RealScottKIng

The visuals for Scott King’s “Everyday Struggle” has arrived y’all and I love it! Directed by Dominic Fondon, Scott King is preaching some bars from a beautiful mountainous terrain and it’s breathtaking! “Everyday Struggle” is just a peek of what we can expect from Scott King’s forthcoming EP “Striving For Greatness” which will be hosted by The Breakfast Club’s DJ Envy and BE 100 Radio’s DJ Waffles. The EP will also feature Miguel, Musiq Soulchild, Torey Lanez, and many others. In the meantime, sit back and enjoy this greatness!

🍩 “The Sound (Dilla Tribute)” by El Blue | @Marty_McRhymes

Hailing from San Diego, “bonafide sample chopper, storyteller, and bar dropper” recently released “The Sound (Dilla Tribute)” as an ode to someone who has influenced him musically – the legendary producer J Dilla. February marks not only J Dilla’s birthday month (2/7/74) but also the release of his last project (not including posthumous releases) “Donuts” 12 years ago, which blessed the ears of fans just a few short days prior to his death. Thus, it is an honor to feature the talent of someone who was not only influenced by J Dilla but also helps to keep his legacy alive. But before you get into the track, see El Blue’s response when he was asked how J Dilla has inspired his craft:

“Ahhhh… Dilla was everything for me as a producer. He showed me the possibilities of how much I can do with a sample. The man gave us freedom in terms of sample choice and really showed off how anything can be chopped. The whole mystique behind Dilla lead to my initial interest, but I just took it and ran with it from there. I consider myself a versatile artist and Dilla is a main reason why. He had so many styles ranging from soul, to jazz, to electronic, to funk, to neo soul… I mean that made me say “Imma be the same way… Imma do it all” and I do now. Beyond Dilla’s sampling ability, he made me realize how important it is to learn how to play instruments and sample yourself, which is something I do all the time. Freedom was the biggest thing Dilla gave me.”

El Blue

R.I.H. James Dewitt Yancey aka J Dilla. And, El Blue, thank you for allowing TGSofHH to feature your tribute and keeping J Dilla’s legacy alive.

El Blue is working on his next project “two sides”, which TGSoHH can’t wait to hear, but in the meantime, you can enjoy listening to the sound chopper’s music on bandcamp and SoundCloud.

“I Got The Juice” by Young Lyric | @Lyrikkal ft T-Wayne x DJ Wavy

You cannot knock this young lady’s hustle. Jay-Z’s “Dirt of Your Shoulder” dropped in ’03 when Young Lyric was like 2 or 3 years old. So when I see her brush that dirt of her shoulders in her videos, I have to quietly salute Young Lyric – reaction to haters and focusing on your grind is everything, right? Here’s Young Lyric’s latest video with T-Wayne and DJ Wavyb entitled “I Got The Juice” Enjoy!

“Welcome To The Golden Era” – Jamo Gang (@J57 x @RasKass x @ElGant)

Taking you back to the “golden era” compliments of Jamo Gang, which features heavyweight rappers J57, Ras Kass, and El Gant. Recently, Jamo Gang dropped new visuals for their track “Welcome to The Golden Era” which is a track from their EP entitled “Jamo Gang”. Enjoy!

“Focus” (Official Music Video) by Saweetie | @Saweetie

Saweetie might be new to TGSofHH pages but her viral fan base ain’t nothin’ to play with and I see why. “Focus” is Saweetie’s latest visual release and follow up to her fan favorite “Icy Girl”. And in case you are wondering – Saweetie got bars. Enjoy!

“Holy C” (Video) – by New Track City | @NewTrackCity253

Put those Ding Dongs down and enjoy this lil’ jazzy hip hop snack from New Track City entitled “Holy C”. “Lyrical” calories are better than refined sugars any day and I swear New Track City “kinda” did/did not pay me for these statements. We love you New Track City! Y’all enjoy!

“No Gravity” – by Sobeyond | @Sobeyond

“Maybe I’m just losing my insanity, because I can’t feel no gravity.” – Sobeyond

North Jersey’s Sobeyond recently released new visuals for his single “Gravity”. Produced by Joe Hov, the track sheds light on how his family’s kept him grounded as he dealt with the pressures of American Society after moving from Syria. This track is a head nodder but comes from a deep place and I love it. Enjoy!

“Lush Lux Life” (Official Video)” – by Lyric Jones | @LyricJones

Lyric Jones dropped her new visuals for her single melodic single “Lush Lux Life”. As luxurious as the sound and visuals are, Lyric’s bars still penetrate your brain with a lot of dope quotables. Enjoy!

“ReppIN” – by BenJamIN | @BenJamINBHG

“All my life I just ask what them checks say.” – BenJamIN

BenJamIN and his masked cohorts are baaaack… This time with a track to ride to or lowkey bounce to depending how “ReppIN” happens to moves you. I like the track because BenJamIN dispays a few different rap styles and flips them all in the dopest way. The song is about life, loyalty, your come up (watch what them checks say) and how you rep it all. Enjoy!

Welcome Back: “The Return” by Abstrakt Mind | @AbstraktmindKTM

When I seen this e-mail from Conneticut’s Abstrakt Mind today – I pictured my reaction in a “shooketh” meme where Abstrakt Mind taps me on the shoulder and just like that I’m trapped in his lovely book of rhymes – I’m nodding my head like “yesss”! Abstrakt Mind is another “day one” on TGSoHH pages and we thank him for blessing us with his music time and time again. It’s been a minute, but he is back and recently released visuals for his track “The Return” which will be featured on his forthcoming EP due out in mid 2018. Directed by N.M. Palmer (with production by UnUsual) this visual takes us on a trek on a hillside where Abstrakt Mind does what he came to do and reminds you why he is not a lyricist to mess with as it “it wouldn’t be too intelligent”. Hip hop heads this for you. Y’all enjoy!
