“This the anthem
For people working on it
The ones who want the money
With the purpose on it…”

The marathon continues… Jacobi Ryan dropped the visuals for his edgy and message filled, Week 14 track entitled “Who R U?” (or also “Who Are You?”) the other day. Produced by Jaylord, in the visuals Jacobi delivers the anthemic “Who R U?” from the heart of downtown Oklahoma, while enjoying “who” he is and indulging in a game of ping-pong – yeah that’s the “bounce” – listen to the beginning of the track. If you haven’t heard “Who R U?”, on the track, Jacobi draws from personal experience as he describes his journey to becoming more self-aware of himself, sans what others might think he should be, and at the same times makes listeners think about how they may regard themselves by purposefully and repeatedly asking “Who R U?” on the hook of the track. Yes, the track is meant to make you question somethin’ – are you, you? Or are you the product of the opinions of what others label you to be? The #52in365 #FormerlyFresh music campaign is not only a music campaign it’s a movement inspiring you to create, own and think for yourself. “Hoodie up, mind open, mouth closed… “. Y’all enjoy!

THE PODCAST…
Episode 14 of Jacobi Ryan’s #TMIKTMID podcast is now live. This week’s topics include: grief and productivity, why it’s so hard for us to admit we don’t know anything, RIP Nipsey tha Great, and of course the story behind this week’s track “Who R U?”. This week’s podcast is informative and certainly tugs at the heart, as the hip hop world continues to grieve the passing of Nipsey Hussle who was an inspiration to Jacobi… #365 continues to carry the baton and “it won’t be in vain.”
