Jacobi Ryan is in the 2nd quarter of his #52in365 #FormerlyFresh music campaign and he kicked off Week 17 with his track “Sacrifice”. Today Jacobi dropped the visuals for the track and with help from some friends the focus in the visuals is all about family. The location for this shoot is a park setting, and Jacobi is helping us all usher in the goodness of summertime vibes and family reunions in the visuals – peep his “no hoodie BTRM Clothing t-shirt” game. As is customary, I always listen to Jacobi’s #TMIKTMID podcast before I share it. If you’ve tuned in, you know he’s never short on being engaging and providing valuable topics for listeners. But, today he had some real poignant food for thought when he discussed “Sacrifice” on his podcast this morning which I felt I needed to be shared. So, I decided I’ll let his message about sacrifice have the floor today (and finish out this post) so it can resonate with readers (“you can’t fake it”) and of course you can still enjoy the podcast in it’s entirety below. Don’t forget to watch the visuals too. Shoutout to Imageline Studios, and to the “family”, holdin’ it down in the visuals: Jaden Nickens, Nate Jones, Jr., and Anthony Crawford. Y’all enjoy!
“I just wanted to emphasize how much sacrifice it takes to be great and how you can’t fake that. You can’t substitute hard work, dedication, and dues paid. Sacrifice… you can’t duplicate that and you can’t fake that. Whoever, skips that part is always gonna be exposed at some point. And that’s not your job to expose that. Of course, that’s the way of the Universe, that’s the role of the Universe to do. So, all we can do is take care of our own things and make sure that we’re doing what we can to reach our purpose and thats always going to be the way to go. And, its always going to be around, you know what I’m saying? That’s how I feel… like longevity is where you sacrifice because you know what your purpose is and your purpose is providing value for other people. So, it’s a great cycle…”
