Empower, Educate, Everyone – never lose sight of that.đź“·: Studio E90
It’s been a minute since the Liberian born and Brockton, Massachusetts native and GLMG ( Green Life Music Group) artist and entrepreneur Blak Sea and his #GETGREEN movement have graced the pages of The Greener Side of Hip Hop. Blak Sea has been in the rap game for a minute – and he’s always welcome here. The other night I was vibin’ out to his throwback track , 2013’s “We On It” and even that track sounded so “right now”. And, we both agreed, the timing is grand – neither one of us is in control of the “when” but right now it’s comfortable – we keeping great energies in alignment, similar to the three E’s in #GETGREEN – “Empower, Educate, Everyone.”đź“·: Studio E90
The visuals for “Sit Down” were produced and directed by Lorenzal Benbow and was filmed at a studio session in Quincy, MA and also at the historical Quincy Quarries – if your not from MA the scenery in the visuals will definitely stimulate your curiosity. On the track both Blak Sea and REKS deliver lyrically pleasing and a combination of well paced and hard hitting verses (“Give me space/No Hyphen…./Bars bang with the Gods/Revenge of the Titans/Streets cold in the land of the Vikings/Hustle to survive/For that cake no icing…”) that don’t disappoint. And, you can’t ignore their chemistry as the two come off like your favorite duo’s duo with the bonus being their individual lyrical prowess and of course DJ DeadEye. “Sit Down” is now available on all of your favorite digital streaming platforms. Y’all enjoy the moment and the #GETGREEN movement!!
