“I ask God to protect me
From the people that I love
That don’t love me the same
Hold the mic like a grudge
We been in it so long
For the love of the game…”

Still working and still grinding, I think I’m losing track of the projects that San Francisco’s Rymeeze has put out this year. Last month he dropped another EP from his All Seasons series entitled “The Formidable EP”  (All Seasons Volume 2). The seven track EP has features from his son/dope emcee ELI, beautiful vocals by Beronica, Fego Navarro, and also Cuzzin D who is featured on the spiritual and hard hitting “Protection” which is also my favorite track. Rymeeze has a track for the ladies “All I Want” and also he addresses the topic of racial injustice on the track “Original Sin” (“Is it the way that we sin/Ashes of my Ancestors blowin’ in the wind”). “The Formidable EP” is a great balance of introspective lyricism, growth, spirituality, and an artist (entrepreneur, leader, role model) that is totally focused and ain’t here to play (“If anything/I ain’t wasting energy on petty things”). Rymeeze is building and staying consistent with it. Let me rephrase that – he’s BEEN building and staying consistent with it.
“The Formidable EP (All Seasons Volume 2)” is now available on your favorite digital streaming platform. Y’all enjoy!
